The project is inspired by the existing development along Kreuzbuchstrasse and proposes a series of three volumes that appear to stand upright, while maintaining a respectful distance from the street space, embedded in a spacious green area. The walls along the street include the entrances to the gardens and houses, as well as the drive to the parking facilities. The houses are positioned in a way that allows the loggias and living areas to be situated in the front building zone, while the bedrooms are orientated towards the peaceful garden space at the rear. The garden wall shields the lower-level apartment from the street noise. Unlike the concept with two development zones, this project only proposes one row of buildings. Thus each building enjoys maximum orientation towards the sun and an ideal view. The arrangement of only one row of buildings also maximises the garden size. The enhanced housing standard from conventional to specific is achieved through the vertical alignment. Each apartment is directly accessible from the common parking facilities in the basement.
