The project grasps the Allmend as a large open space providing various services to the general public. It acts as an important, attractive green space in the neighbourhood. The project envisages an open development that pools the various building volumes together in the broad Allmend space, thereby allowing the open area to continue to be experienced as a coherent space. The buildings’ appearance has soft forms, without sharp edges. The exterior spaces that are defined by these buildings merge into one another and also flow into the Allmend plane. Inversely, the buildings concentrate the open Allmend space and lead it towards the park-like forecourts of the entrance zones. Classic elements of park facilities served as references for the proposed architectural language.
