The property on which the single-family home was planned is situated in a heterogeneous urban development, with agricultural buildings, multi-storey 1960s housing blocks and massive-type single-family homes. The idea of the project is based on inserting a volume that has a transitory effect in this conglomerate: a container. The spatial programme is therefore accommodated in a compact volume, its envelope of trapezoid aluminium sheeting expressing the image of a container. A timber construction was chosen, consisting of prefabricated, large-scale lightweight boards, which were constructed on the concrete cellar base. The building opens up towards the south. The closed northern side reacts to the railway tracks running past in the vicinity. The building is precisely placed in relation to the neighbouring single-family home, thereby defining an exterior space that is allocated to both houses.
