The property is situated on a hill that slopes towards the golf course to the northwest. Its top affords a protected, unobstructed view over the Küssnacht lake basin and towards Mount Rigi and the Bernese Alps. The project is developed out of the topography on three storeys. Access is provided from building’s lowest level, which forms a projecting basement, where the garage is integrated into the terrain, while a forecourt with a tree creates a high-quality entrance situation with considerable privacy.
The second floor, accommodating a self-contained apartment, is recessed from the line of the basement and orientated towards the northwest and the golf course. The projecting basement creates a private garden area that is further enhanced by the courtyard. The main storey is placed like a pavilion over the two lower levels. It is characterised by tall, open spaces and its variety of marvellous views into the surrounding landscape. The living areas are connected to the exterior space by the projecting roof, giving them additional volume. The floor has a large garden with a pool.
